Staged Managed War

I have tried not to comment too much on the conflict in Lebanon, because I think what we hear day to day changes, and the final picture will be very different. I think we need to step back from the constant stream of news coverage and think how is that news being manipulated?

One aspect of my distrust is Hezbollah’s stage management of the media and how many news organisations seem to go along with it.

This small video shows Hezbollah’s cynicism and willingness to use the dead for its own vile purposes:

You don't think Israel controls the media? Or you don't think Israel's direct control of the media is as noteworthy as Hezbollah's media manipulation? Why's that?

Or is it just that the American news media are reporting on one and not the other?

well, Anon, I don't believe in the Protocols of the Elders of Zion, do you??

No, of course I don't. Please engage with my point. I am not talking about a conspiracy theory about Jews running the world. I'm talking about the way Israeli government censors news reports coming out of Israel.

I haven’t to see or heard of the Israelis hawking around a dead bodies for the cameras, like vultures, but then again Anon, I suspect you would willingly excuse Hezbollah, etc anything as long as those “damn Israelis” were defeated?

Perhaps you would much rather be debating an opponent who believed in the Protocols... or who supported Hezbollah. Do you not think there is a legitimate non-terrorist-supporting opinion that condemns Israel's current action?

Why do you need to resort to slurs on my character?

debate? lol, yes of course, Benji (or clone), as if I would debate people that can not admit that Hezbollah are vultures, as if!

Are you schizophrenic?

I have no idea where you're getting this from!

Or maybe you're joking?

Obviously, I didn't say anything in support of Hezbollah. You assumed that I was in favour of Hezbollah's actions and I refered to that as a "slur". That doesn't bode well for your theory about me being pro-Hezbollah. I actually feel that you haven't been reading what I was saying.

But you've got what you wanted and you didn't have to justify your comments at all. Pretending that only someone in support of Hezbollah could condemn Israeli actions has allowed you to remain unchallenged by the massive middle-ground which you apparently cannot see.

Well done!
